Professional/Clinical Supervision is an essential safeguard for clients, a support for counsellors and a process through which practitioners can develop their skills and competence.

Master Class: Supervision for Supervisors

A competent Clinical/Professional Supervisor for counsellors and psychotherapists should be able to conduct supervision sessions using various supervision interventions, provide effective evaluation and feedback to supervisees, and address the ethical and legal considerations of supervision.

About this half day workshop

The workshop consists of:

  • A revision/review of the ethical, legal and other responsibilities of the supervisor

  • Opportunity to discuss your supervision practice – what works, what needs work

  • Challenges that face supervisors and how to address these challenges

  • Practical supervisee scenarios for discussion and debate

     

For ACA members, this program is worth 2h of supervision.

Eligibility

 

To be eligible to participate in this workshop, participants must be a registered supervisor (with ACA, PACFA, AASW, APS, or similar association), and have been supervising for at least one year.

Your workshop facilitator

 

Your workshop facilitator, Dr Genevieve Armson, holds formal qualifications in Training and Assessment, Supervision (MCOS MACA), a Master of Counselling (Curtin University) and is a registered counsellor (level 4) and supervisor with ACA, and a clinical counsellor and registered supervisor with PACFA. She is an industry leading professional with over 25 years experience in supervision and training.

Refund Policy

  • No refunds will be issued once registration is completed.

  • Realisations Counselling will consider issuing a voucher to attend a future course for cancellations that are due to hardship, medical emergencies, family emergencies or similar events on the production of documentary evidence.
